<table width="370" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"> <tr> <td class="greytext"> <strong><span class="greentext">Principal Manufacturing Engineer</span></strong></p> <strong>Location:</strong> Libertyville, IL.</p> <strong>General Description:</strong> <br> This position supports manufacturing / packaging and process development of finished agricultural products. Responsibilities include shop order transactions, inventory management, cost-standard development, and reconciliation of manufacturing variances under a JD Edwards systems environment. Responsibilities also include process development / improvement projects, capital projects, preparing manufacturing directions and standard operating procedures. <br><br>Principal Responsibilities:<br><br>-Schedules, prepares, and manages work orders for formulation blends at contract manufacturing facilities. Supports manufacturing and planning operations with work order tracking reports.<br>-Optimizes product flow, on-hand work in-process inventory, QA, and manufacturing processes through standardization, validation, and simplification strategies.<br>-Develops cost standards for formulation blends and packages and investigates significant material usage variances.<br>-Optimizes resource utilization and absorption at contract facilities where VBC controls capital. Optimizes the work order structure in JD Edwards to meet business, inventory, quality, and financial goals.<br>-Designs / Modifies formulation blend manufacturing / packaging processes. Supports process development from pilot to full scale.<br>-Lead production engineer on capital and process expansion projects.<br>-Lead production troubleshooter and investigator for product related complaints.<br><br><br>Skills:<br><br>-Good problem solving abilities.<br>-Well organized and effective at managing complex projects.<br>-Ability to interact with individuals in various scientific specialties and educational backgrounds.<br>-Excellent communication skills.<br><br><br>Experience: 1-5 years of related experience<br><br>Education: B.S. in Engineering, or equivalent<br><br>Travel: Up to 15%<br><br>We will only contact you when scheduling an interview.<br></p> </td> </tr> </table>
