A Total Approach to Mosquito Control
Even with the use of a mosquito larvicide, eradication is nearly impossible. Breeding sites are too numerous, and new ones keep cropping up. Bird baths, catch basins and empty containers are just a few of the mosquito habitats that increase as communities grow.
Since total eradication is nearly impossible, mosquito-control experts recommend an integrated program of source reduction by spraying adult mosquitoes and larviciding the breeding grounds. In addition, avoid leaving partially filled containers on your property. The best thing you can do is empty containers on your property and call the mosquito abatement office in your area if you locate a breeding spot beyond your control, or if you need more information about mosquito control.
