Katie Williams joined the Valent BioSciences LLC (VBC) in July of 2022 as a Technical Development Specialist for the Public and Forestry Health Team.  Prior to joining VBC, Katie earned a BS in Fisheries and Wildlife Biology from Clemson University in 2004 and an MS in Environmental Sciences from the College of Charleston in 2012. She has extensive knowledge in operational mosquito control as she spent six years as an entomologist/research biologist where she focused on innovative trapping techniques, resistance management and caged mosquito field assays. She was the SW representative for the Florida Mosquito Control Association for four years, and she is currently on the AMCA Endangered Species Act sub-committee. In her position so far, she has travelled to conduct field trials from Florida to Minnesota and has enjoyed getting to better know the Public Health team.
