Nutrient Efficiency in Pome Fruits

Nutrient efficiency is the measure of how well a plant is able to access and utilize available nutrients in the soil.  The four-species consortium of beneficial mycorrhizal fungi in MycoApply® extends the root absorption area for the plant, allowing it to access available as well as unavailable (chemically bound) nutrients and transport them into the plant. This symbiosis enhances the uptake and availability of nutrients and improves the plant’s expended energy – to – nutrient uptake ratio.

Nutrient efficiency is especially important to pome fruits as the quality of the fruit is reliant upon the health of the tree. By expanding absorption surface area, MycoApply allows for better access to water and nutrient uptake leading to higher-quality fruit.

The hyphal network also efficiently transports nutrients and water back to the plant which keeps the availability to the plant optimized for utilization.
