Industry award recognizes the company’s commitment to supporting the association’s mission
LIBERTYVILLE, Ill., March 12, 2020 – The Biological Products Industry Alliance (BPIA) named Valent BioSciences (VBC) its “Member of the Year” at the organization’s 2020 Annual Meeting and Symposium, held March 2-4 in Portland, Oregon. VBC earned the award for its companywide commitment to supporting the association’s mission to promote the responsible development of safe and effective biopesticides and biostimulants used in agriculture, public health, PCO, turf and ornamentals, and home gardening.
The “Member of the Year” award is given annually to a BPIA member company nominated by organization members and voted on by the Board of Directors. Each nominee is evaluated based on the breadth and scope of its commitment to BPIA, as well as the duration of its commitment. VBC is a founding member of BPIA and was chosen unanimously as the latest recipient.
“Our Member of the Year award goes to a company that exemplifies what it means to be a BPIA member,” said BPIA Executive Director, Keith Jones. “VBC is a perfect example of a member that is fully committed to serving and improving our industry and our association.”
Ted Melnik, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of VBC, accepted the award on behalf of the company.
